FOR HOLIDAYS
Pretty and simple DIY project with step-by-step guide.
Learn how to crochet a snowflake with our little tutorial that you can use as a holiday decor in your home or even as a Christmas tree ornament!🎄
EQUIPMENT
- Some yarn (we used merino wool)
- A crochet hook (4mm)
Stitch abbreviations:
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc =single crochet
dc = double crochet
st = stitch
ch-sp = chain space
sk = skip
Satin stitch is a type of stitch in which the stitches are moved from one needle to the other without being knitted.
Begin by making an adjustable magic ring. Follow with 5 ch and 1 dc.
Then make 2 ch and 1 dc. Repeat this process of 2 ch and 1 dc 5 more times. Fasten the magic ring and sl st the stitch at the end to the first stitch.
ROUND 2: Start with 3 ch and then 3 dc into the first hole. Then make 2 ch and 4 dc into the next hole. Repeat this process of 2ch and 4 dc into every remaining hole. As before, sl st the stitch at the end to the first stitch.
Slip stitch your way to get to the closest hole. Now follow the following stitches to make the pointry edges of the snowflake.
- 3ch, 1sc, 5ch, 1sc
- 7ch, 1sc, 5ch, 1sc
- 3ch, 1sc
Continue throughout the remaining sections and cut off the excess yarn once you get to the first stitch. And we're done!❄
